Further info

We provide confidential advice on which benefits you could claim, help you to apply for benefits and for one-off grants to help with energy costs or travel costs to hospital appointments for example. We can also help you to appeal against decisions on your benefit entitlement. Don’t struggle on your own; please get in touch for specialist advice.

Who can use this service?

The service is open to people living with cancer and their families and unpaid carers. The service is free of charge to use.

How are services delivered?

Often, the healthcare professionals who are supporting you will refer you into our service with your permission. However, you are also able to self refer into the Macmillan, Money and More Service yourself.

When you first call us, our trained advisers will complete a holistic assessment to understand how we can support you. Where possible, we will provide you with the advice you need on the initial call. For more complex queries, an appointment will be made with one of our Welfare Benefits Caseworkers who will provide you with ongoing help and support for as long as you need it.
