Vision Northumberland
Vision Northumberland (formally known as Northumberland County Blind Association) is a well established local charity that provides advice and support services to blind and visually-impaired people to enable individuals to gain the knowledge, confidence and skills necessary to increase independence and fulfil life potential. We have a warm space at our Chatterbox community cafe on Tuesdays 10am - 1pm in Morpeth.
Vision Northumberland's dedicated team of staff is supported by over 160 volunteers, and operates from a purpose-built resource centre in Morpeth as well as outreach venues across Northumberland.
We provide a range of services to support visually impaired individuals including; comprehensive information and advice service, one-to-one support, Client Connect telephone befriending service, low vision assessments, low vision aids and equipment demonstration, clubs and support groups, energy advice, volunteer transport service, quarterly newsletters (in a range of formats), Sighted Guide training, volunteering opportunities, technology peer support and Assistive Technology trouble shooting/support pop-ups throughout Northumberland.

Our service is open to all individuals with sight loss and their families.
