Northumberland Domestic Abuse Services

Domestic abuse happens to women, men, straight, lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people. NDAS is here to support anyone affected by any type of domestic violence or abuse. It can happen at any stage in life. It does not just mean physical abuse, and it can involve verbal, psychological, sexual and financial control. We aim to raise awareness within communities and in wider society, to challenge abusive behaviours, tackle stigma and shift norms around violence and abuse.

We can help you:- develop a safety plan,  find a new home, or temporary refuge, find a solicitor and explore legal options, understand your legal rights, find the right support for your family and children, including support from our Children and Young People’s Psychotherapist, gain confidence and independence through 1-2-1 support and group courses, build social networks through support groups and activities.
