Parents' Aid
Parents’ Aid supports families with children under 18 who are at risk of social exclusion and need help with family difficulties. We offer advocacy and information, one-to-one counselling, family mediation, parenting skills support and anger management. Support can include preparing for and attending meetings with professionals, including child protection conferences and reviews. We help parents improve communication, manage conflict and strengthen family relationships. Priority is given to Essex residents. Services are currently delivered remotely, with face-to-face appointments potentially available by arrangement.

Who can use this service?
Families with children under 18 who are at risk of social exclusion and need support with parenting, family conflict or working with professionals around their children. Priority is given to Essex residents.
Parents’ Aid currently has no qualified staff able to offer support to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

How are services delivered?
Services are currently delivered remotely. Face-to-face appointments may be possible by prior arrangement; please discuss this with Parents’ Aid.
