Ashington RVS Social Centre
Ashington RVS Social Centre is a day centre for the elderly. Our social club for 60yrs+ helps you to meet other people from the local community. Whether for a delicious two course lunch, a game of bingo, music quizzes, chair-based exercises, or simply just a cup of tea or a good chat. It operates every Thursday form 10am-2pm.. It is run by volunteers, we provide various activities and entertainment and two course hot lunch is served. The session fee is £10 which includes refreshments and lunch.
Carers are welcome at no charge unless they want lunch where a £4 fee is applied
Who can use this service?
Anyone over 60 yrs but must be responsible for their own personal care. We take dementia clients but only those with onset dementia. Come for a free taster session and pay just £4 if you stay for lunch
How are services delivered?
The service is delivered solely by volunteers. The volunteers have appropriate training e g. Safeguarding etc.
There is a cost for this service .
