Choppington Disability Group

The Choppington Disability Group is an opportunity for disabled people and carers to shape the Choppington area. To make it better, friendlier and an easier place for those with a disability to live, work and socialise. On 1st Friday of each month 10am -12noon we have a social coffee morning with occasional speakers on various topics.

Further info

  • The CDG recognises navigating public transport may be difficult with a disability, therefore one of the benefits of belonging to the Group is the regular organised trips we run to visit attractions in the area.
  • Throughout the year we are fortunate to receive information from like-minded organisations and many do attend our coffee mornings regularly.
  • We provide a forum for those residents who are disabled or who are carers, to participate in the planning of services, projects and activities to ensure that the views of the Choppington disabled community are taken into account.
  • Volunteers are essential to our Group and can give help and support to our members.  Working with us can also change the life of the volunteer, building new confidence, new skills and the feel good factor that comes with giving something back to the Community.  Please get in touch if you would like to volunteer.
