The Rainbow Care Group
We have a vision and mission to change the way Dementia Care is delivered throughout the UK. All our services are provided within community settings rather than a traditional care home so those who attend feel like they are having a day out, rather than ‘being put into care’. Our services are adapted and led by those who attend. Because of our thoughtful approach to person led care, we can avoid distress & anxiety commonly found in traditional care settings and familes feel like they are accessing ‘guilt free’ respite.
We offer a free taster day to anyone who is living with a diagnosis, at no obligation. We try and operate as a social enterprise would and give back to the community wherever we can
We only accept 12 people per day per session and this is with a staff to client ratio of 1:4, even though the legal requirement is 1:8. We endorse quality over profit as this enables us to tailor the day for those who attend.
Some key points:
- Those who attend are just as safe as they would be in a care home or hospital environment.
- We are a respite service
- We do thorough work with each of our clients prior to them attending so we can understand who they are, never focusing on the diagnosis they have been given
- We are 6x winners of the best dementia care service in the UK
